About Kathryn

Hello my name is Kathryn Wolfe. I started this business because of my passion for Raw Vegetarian Foods!

I have been living a raw vegetarian lifestyle on and off for 6 years now and have helped my body cure many ailments from; migraines since childhood, Irritable Bowl Syndrome, undiagnosed stomach pains, low energy and excess fat. I now feel healthy all the time with no headaches or stomach aches for the last 4 years. I believe this is the food we were meant to eat, but I understand and support everyone’s choice in eating habits.

I have attended many Raw Vegan classes, seminars, lectures and courses in Calgary, and have completed Alissa Cohen certificate courses. I have also obtained four Raw Food certificates; a Raw Food Chef Certificate, Raw Nutrition Specialist Certificate, Raw Lifestyle Coach Certificate, and a Raw Personal Trainer Certificate from The Vegan Network.

I am also in the process of writing 3 raw food recipe books which will be available for purchase as an ebook or printed copy.I also have one at the publishers and will be available as a hard copy book in February 2010.

Other business and life skills I have obtained along the way:

  • I am in the process of obtaining a Level 2 in Early Childhood Education from Bow Valley College.
  • I have a Food Safety Certificate from Health Canada.
  • I Completed a year long Office Administration certificate through Bow Valley College.
  • Recently I was a Director of a Before and After school childcare of 42 children and 5 staff.  This is where I learned of my passion for teaching children!
  • I learned all about business through a 6 month Entrepreneur Women’s Venture Program Certificate from Momentum.

A Little More Personal

I am a dedicated mom to my 10 year old son, my 5 year old daughter and my 11 month old son. The kids and I eat a predominately raw and vegetarian daily diet.

My 3 beautiful children and I at the beach.

Although my family has fallen off and on of a 100% raw vegetarian daily diet during the last 6 years, we have maintained an importance of daily fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, sprouts and greens. We, as a family, have learned that it is not important to spend all our time worrying about being 100% raw vegetarians, the most important thing in our family is spending time with each other and loving each person for who they are, not what they eat.

I understand that a 100% raw vegetarian diet is not accessible or important to everyone. I appreciate that everyone has different eating habits and just encourage more healthy whole food choices in any daily diet.

At my raw food classes, you will often see my 10 year old son helping out. I believe family is the most important thing in my life, so we are usually not far away from each other.

With all the easy processed foods, and parents on the go at all times, I know first hand the struggles of getting healthy food into their growing bodies. With the raw food chef courses, I hope to be able to teach children the importance of healthy eating and to encourage them to grab a banana or fruit at snack time or on their way out the door instead of a chocolate bar.
